At Optimal Learning Centre (OLC), we aim to foster skills that enable students to work confidently in an English-speaking environment. Our courses provide students with the confidence and skills needed to communicate effectively in English at various levels and for diverse purposes. We cater to students with a minimum of elementary level (Entry level 1 or CEFR level A1) language skills up to advanced level (Level 3 or CEFR level C2). Our courses are structured and tailored according to students' needs, allowing them to advance quickly and as far as required. Our offerings include Functional Skills, ESOL, General English, English for Business, Examination Preparation for English Courses (IELTS and Cambridge), and English for Academic Purposes.
Our English courses are taught by skilled and experienced teaching staff. Our teachers are experts in motivating students to develop their skills and confidence. We favor small classes, with an average of 10 students, to ensure teachers can provide the personalized support they need. Our qualified and experienced instructors ensure that students can master the entire language, including improving their ability to use English grammar. We also focus on making students' pronunciation sound more natural and easier to understand.
Students engage in a variety of activities, including working in pairs or groups, and using various materials such as CDs, DVDs, and computers to aid their learning. Additionally, students have individual tutorials with their tutor to set personal targets.
After each exam, students are encouraged to bring in their exams for review. This collection of exams over the years provides the tutoring service with numerous examples to use in tutoring sessions, better preparing students for upcoming tests. Similarly, we prepare handouts on particular topics, which are updated as needed. Students enrolled in tutoring sessions have full access to these materials. The cost of these materials is very low, as they are provided over time as needed. Although some time investment is required to produce them, this overhead cost is spread out over several years as long as the handouts remain current and useful.
